**and this was to be posted Dec 2. Hopefully we are getting the snafus all figured out!
Man we have had a crap two weeks. No blog written last week. It’s a struggle to find the gratitude and thankfulness. Everyone is activated, everyone is stressed. I’m not sleeping. We did not leaving the dock at the end of the October as planned. The engine work was completed but didn’t fix the problem. It’s looking like a lot more money and a lot more time we will be stuck at the dock. On the bright side, the dock still has space for us.
Wren did lose two teeth. And she went trick or treating on Main Street, Gloucester with a great group of kids. We dropped our car off at my parents’ house the last weekend of October, but have been wondering if we should go back and get it. How long will we be here? Will the engine ever be fixed? Holding pattern.
The boat has sprung a freshwater leak in the galley. We are working on finding the source location, looking at the windows, mast, and everything that screws into the deck. We are thankful for the Antares owners forum and the kindness of the other owners. We are not the first boat to have a leak here!
Still no life raft. Helen’s liferaft is on its way back to Helen with friends on Grand Cru. Thank you Helen, Adi, and Sergey!! I at least have a sense of peace that her raft is making it back to its home. ❤️
