8/10/2024 – Today makes a week!
Wow. Well, everything is aboard and Debby (hurricane/tropical storm) has come and gone. I would say that was our big ‘excitement’ – trying to make sure Two Fish stayed off the dock and pylons with the rising water and big wind. The transoms are where we are getting on and off and they get rather too close for comfort. Speaking of getting on and off the boat, I do not recommend a docking like this when you are fresh from back surgery. I need significant help getting on and off, and am only really comfortable when it is high tide. Chris has starlink up and running and Wren is enjoying watching ALL the Pokemon. We don’t quite have the chart plotter pulling to the ipad or the speakers working. The electronics will take quite a while to figure out. Big thanks to Jason, the original owner, for answering all of our questions! His 2007 iPod was still loaded in the radio! Mantis has enjoyed exploring any open locker and went for a journey through the bilge one day, but still cries during the night. Mini and Lily seem to have adjusted to boat naps just fine. Wren is battling a cold, Chris is working hard, and I’m trying to be a good patient with impeccable spine hygiene. Still no sign of our life raft.
