Horray for some new sails! They did arrive and we installed the new Genoa and Code Zero (code zero taken down as it won’t be used as often; keep it out of the sun to prolong its life!). Many thanks to Doug with Latell for helping us get her up!

Our port engine is still in pieces. The starboard one is running okay, but the port is still dumping coolant and overheating. Some big piece of the engine was removed and taken for pressure testing to see if it is cracked. Hopefully it’s not… but more so, I hope we can get it fixed as we are supposed to leave the dock start of November (1 week away).
Our carpets are also installed! A couple of snafus and adjustments, but we now have a lighter, homier salon that will also hopefully help with the pet fur bunnies that roam the boat.
On a bittersweet note, we took Mantis to my parents’ house this weekend, in hopes she will be a happier cat with more space to run and roam and play that what Two Fish affords. Many thanks to them for giving Mantis what we hope will be a temporary home. We also rounded out the trip with some fun fall adventures – Costco, corn maze, corn pits, play grounds, and grilling out!

Friends and neighbors are also something we are thankful for. Our buddy Amanda on Ahonu made some delicious anti-inflammatory butternut squash soup to feed our bodies and souls. Thanks, Amanda!
Still no liferaft as it yet again missed the boat. Literally. Maybe it’ll make the next one. We aren’t holding our breath at this point.
